Our VP CEI (Conrad Electronic International) implements the strategic direction of our own brands and is responsible for the operational performance of these ranges. This includes supplier selection, implementation of the assortment strategy, supplier support and purchasing in Asia. This function is directly responsible for the achievement of CEI targets such as sales, margin and profitability. In the implementation of the private label strategy, the job holder* will work closely with the product and sourcing team and ensure the Conrad Group's private label targets are achieved with the marketing as well as sales units. The position requires team-oriented cross-divisional as well as cross-functional collaboration with internal and partners at various levels. The role requires an individual who is able to persuade or influence others through a combination of product and market knowledge, analytical thinking, creative problem solving and communication skills to make sourcing products in Asia a competitive advantage for Conrad.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop growth strategies to achieve CEI revenue and margin targets based on data-driven internal and external analysis and corporate group strategy
  • Execute a compelling, corporate owned private brand strategy that is a differentiator for Conrad along the customer needs of our R&D/GA/MRO/Education and Tech Enthusiast target groups
  • Market and data driven identification, planning and execution of own brand development to increase revenue and contribution margin as well as leverage of existing customers
  • Identification of continuous improvement measures (marginal gains approach) to improve the flow of goods, supplier management and price management
  • In close coordination with the marketing team, optimization of product data procurement to enable an improved approach to the target groups on the digital channels and to ensure an effective marketing and communication concept
  • Provide leadership and direction to direct reports* through a culture of accountability, advancement, high performance, and ethical behavior
  • Actively participate in strategic business planning, budget process and product strategy development

Your Qualifications

  • Develop growth strategies to help achieve CEI revenue and EBIT goals based on internal and external data analysis and the company’s business strategy
  • Develop and implement a sound in-house strategy for our own brands aimed at R&D, GA, MRO, the Education sector and hobbyists that helps Conrad stand out
  • Identify, plan and implement a market-oriented and data-driven strategy for the development of our own brands, to increase net turnover and CM, to attract new buyers, and to retain and exploit existing customers
  • Identify, develop and implement a data-driven strategy for our own brands to increase net turnover and CM across China
  • Identify continual marginal gains to improve the flow of goods, supplier management and price-setting
  • Work closely with the marketing team to optimise product information gathering, to improve audience engagement across the digital channels, and to ensure an effective marketing and communication strategy
  • Provide leadership to team members who directly work with you, promoting responsibility, honesty, development opportunities, performance and professional behaviour  
  • Play an active role in strategic business planning, budgeting and product strategy development
