The VP Logistics & Supply Chain (m/f/nb) is significantly responsible for the transformation of logistics based on the corporate strategy and taking into account the changing customer requirements. Customer needs in terms of sustainability, quality and availability of goods are the strategic cornerstones of the activity, which must be permanently optimized.
The results set out in a master plan or the resulting project goals from a logistics strategy project must be stringently implemented. Independently of this, the existing logistics processes and systems of the operative day-to-day business are to be continuously scrutinized and optimized together with the team.

The main objective here is to optimally satisfy current and future customer needs while striving for cost leadership in our industry in Europe. In addition, the VP Logistics & Supply Chain (m/f/nb) is responsible for the further development and implementation of the strategy for logistics.
In doing so, the VP Logistics & Supply Chain (m/f/nb) cooperates intensively with upstream and downstream organizational units and ensures compliance with the agreed service level agreements on both the supplier and customer side. The VP Logistics & Supply Chain (m/f/nb) has comprehensive budget responsibility. The VP Logistics & Supply Chain (m/f/nb) leads the managers and employees assigned to him/her both professionally and disciplinarily.

Your contribution to success

Further development of the logistics strategy, encompassing both operational execution and system-related prerequisites. The goal is a good, competitive service level on the customer and supplier side combined with cost leadership. Achieving the defined SLAs at the lowest possible cost (minimum principle).
Further development of the digitalization strategy in logistics and consideration of the possibilities of artificial intelligence (AI), i.e. the imitation of human intelligence with the help of machines.
Optimization of existing processes in intralogistics
Developing and implementing supply chain models to improve the overall logistics and transportation network
management, coaching and development of the performance of operational, administrative and management personnel in the logistics field
Utilization and integration of new technologies
Evaluation of cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
Further development of the digital twin in logistics
Further development of logistics from an internal service provider to an independent economic unit with corresponding entrepreneurial vision and strategic elements
Further development of logistics into a certified Great Place to Work employer, taking into account corresponding developments and trends in the logistics industry

Your success factors

Completed studies in the field of business administration or industrial engineering with a specialization in logistics
Proven, relevant professional experience in managerial positions with leadership responsibility in a similarly challenging position
Trust, empathy, open feedback, reliability and continuous learning as cornerstones of leadership style, especially in an international environment
Excellent analytical skills, affinity for numbers, and an independent and results-oriented approach to work
Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
Independent and entrepreneurial approach
Experience with modern management tools in logistics and an absolute willingness to go innovative ways considering the demographic change
Proactive approach with the patience to establish new and innovative topics at Conrad in the long term
Fluent German and English as well as experience in an international environment; knowledge of Czech is an advantage
Willingness to travel
