Our recipe for success

We are a reliable partner who makes the sourcing of technical supplies as easy and efficient as it gets for customers. We do this with passion and innovativeness, day in day out. Our product range comprises millions of quality items, customer-centric solutions and services, and face-to-face expert advice. We are fully committed to this mission. We see change as a catalyst for opportunities, and supply customers with everything they need to successfully complete their projects. As a family-run business, operating in a sustainable way and building long-term business relationships are paramount to us. We stand for quality and reliability.

As a Senior Product Analyst, you will own the metric framework, experimentation, and analytics engineering for our search and discovery products. You will partner with product, engineering, and analytics teams to turn search outcomes into trusted metrics and modular data models.

Your contribution to success

  • Measurement & Metrics: You define and own the metric framework for search and recommendations, covering relevance, conversion, zero-result rate, ranking quality, and revenue contribution. You drive adoption of these metrics in OKRs and weekly reviews.
  • Experimentation: You design, run, and interpret A/B and multivariate tests with statistical rigour. You coach the team on hypothesis quality, sample sizing, and how to call a result honestly.
  • Tracking & Instrumentation: You own the event taxonomy in GA4 and GTM for search and recommendations. You set and enforce best practices for event design, naming, and validation.
  • Analytics Engineering: You build and maintain modular dbt models on BigQuery. You define metrics in the semantic layer so Looker users pull from one source of truth.
  • Best Practices: You set the dbt conventions (project structure, testing, documentation, CI) that the wider analytics team adopts over time.
  • Sparring Partner: You act as a thinking partner to the search & category PMs and engineering team. You translate raw data into a clear point of view and push back when a chart is about to be read wrong.

Your success factors

  • You have at least 5 years in product analytics or analytics engineering, ideally in e-commerce, marketplaces, or B2B platforms.
  • You write strong SQL on BigQuery (or comparable) and you are comfortable in Python for analysis, prototyping, and ad-hoc modelling.
  • You have hands-on experience building production dbt models including testing, documentation, and CI. You have opinions on project structure.
  • You have shipped events through GA4 and GTM and can speak to the tradeoffs of client-side versus server-side tracking.
  • You have designed and read experiments end-to-end, including power analysis, sample sizing, segment slicing, and Bayesian or frequentist methods.
  • You have worked with a semantic layer (dbt Semantic Layer, LookML, Cube, or similar) and with Looker. You understand why metric governance matters.
  • Critical thinking, analytical rigour, empathy, high agency, and proactiveness

Your benefits

We Are a Great Place to Work
Our tolerant and empathic work environment enables you to help shape our company’s future, thereby giving you lots of room for personal development. Our unique company culture was officially recognised by the Great Place to Work institute.

We Improve Your Work-Life Balance
Flexitime and hybrid working arrangements as well as a special leave allowance enable you to organise your workday around your needs. And we care about your children. Our head office in Hirschau operates a child day-care centre that looks after your little ones.

We Communicate at a Peer Level
We are a family-run business. Means friendly interaction is paramount to us. And when it comes to being a trust-based horizontal organisation, around here, we practise what we preach.

We Promote Health
Which is why we offer a variety of services and activities centred around health and fitness. Regular medical checkups are top of the agenda. Moreover, for all those who like to keep fit, there is Conrad Sports Club based at our Hirschau office that provides a range of activities, coaching sessions and even an in-house tennis court. Being healthy isn’t just about exercising, it’s also about a balanced diet. This is why food served in our cafeterias at Hirschau and Wernberg uses local produce and is freshly prepared.
