These tasks are waiting for you
- Develop data models and schemas supporting analytical requirements.
- Build reliable and scalable data pipelines. This includes understanding and implementing best practices for data governance
- Address data quality issues by implementing best practices.
- Participate in cross-functional projects supporting data applications and reporting.
- Communicate your findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Who we are looking for
- You have a technical university degree with a strong analytical background (e.g. computer science, physics, mathematics, statistics) or a comparable qualification
- You have at least 2 years of professional experience in data engineering: SQL, large-scale data pipeline orchestration, and data observability approaches
- Good knowledge of distributed systems and experience with data engineering processes and concepts: Spark, Data Lake, Lakehouse architecture, delta architecture
- You have sound programming skills in development with Python or other comparable programming languages
- Experience with cloud providers (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure)
Good to have but not required
- You have experience working with data in a relevant area, such as Marketing, Customer Behavior & Engagement, Purchasing, et al.
- You are familiar with stream processing technologies e.g. Apache Flink, Spark, Storm, or Kafka.
- Experience using and/or configuring Business Intelligence tools for data visualization and analytics (e.g. Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, Microstrategy)
- German language skills
